Our head trainer Jake’s journey with dogs started with his own dog Ellie the German Shepherd.

Like most dog owners I got Ellie with all the best intentions but despite this ended with her being extremely aggressive and reactive. I spent thousands on a variety of different trainers with varying methodologies but just could not find the right fit for Ellie. So that’s when my true journey as a trainer started.

I started shadowing various trainers, spending all my free time watching videos online and getting hands on with a variety of different dogs, After doing this for a few years and finally at a push from a trainer friend of mine decided I was at a place where I could begin to help others with my hard won knowledge and thus ELA Dog Dynamics and Training was born.

Now I have three of my own dog’s Ellie the GSD, Lennox the East European Shepherd and Arlo the Belgian Malinois who you will often see as my stooge dogs. Ellie is the source of my hard won personal experience of reactivity so as someone who has lived it I really do understand the major impacts a reactive and aggressive dog can have on your life. It’s my passion to train dogs and something I genuinely feel I was born to do and as such it’s a genuine pleasure to help others enjoy their pets and get the most out of them.
